I first heard this little couplet as a child from a rodeo clown goofing off before the next bull rider exploded out of the gate.

In the midst of a problem

We often make the mistake of asking God to change our circumstances when God has ordered our circumstances to change us.

We focus on our problems when God wants us to focus on the problem solver - Jesus.

Intimacy vs. Activity

There is really only one thing worth being concerned about. It is: - "How much time am I spending at Jesus feet - listening to Him?' Gospel according to St. Luke 10:38-42

"Time with Jesus is the fountain from which holiness flows."

An old song of the faith was on my mind as I awoke this morning. They don't make 'em like this any more.

"Rock of Ages, cleft for me, let me hide myself in thee.

Let the water and the blood, from thy riven side which flowed, be for me a double cure.

Wash from sin and make me pure."

This is the way God does it.

He hides the truth from those who think themselves so wise and clever.

He reveals the truth to the childlike.
